Planning
We would meet, online or in person, discuss the project requirements, define things and estimate the timeline to complete everything.
- Choose a domain name
- Website strategy - its purpose, target market, competitors etc
- Define content
- Functionalities
- Website design/color scheme
- Keywords
- Who is responsible for what
- Timeline, price & payment
Designing
I would first build the basic outlay or wireframe and show it to you for approval. To do that I would need your:
- LOGO - if you don't have one, I could design it
- Photos of products or whatever you want me to use online
- Then I can proceed to test few color palettes
- Design interactive parts - few buttons, forms etc
- Create a wireframe or an outlay
- Wireframe example
- You approve or give alternative ideas
- Once we agree on all details, I proceed with building the project
- Club
- Favourites
- market
- New Item
Building
I build the project, as we agreed, send regular updates and request content or write it myself if needed.
- Content creation and editing
- Web or App development
- Testing, more development
- Testing, sending to you for testing and review
- You approve or propose changes
- Test and send again
- We are both happy with the results
- My work is done unless you hired me for maintenance and optimisation
Maintenance
Maintenance and optimisation are crucial for long term website success. Websites are launched, not done. Security updates, content check and update etc - for example, your site going offline sometimes makes all of our hard work go to waste.
- Content updates
- Update and review your visual design and layout
- Simplify and streamline your most critical elements.
- Regularly test website functionalities
- Check internal and external links
- Optimise your database
Optimisation
Last but not the least - Optimisation is the number one reason for long term project success. Without analysing the user behaviour, changes in the market and evolving with them, our project will not stand the test of time.
- Set up website analytics
- Keyword monitoring
- Site speed optimization
- Technical SEO checks such as robots.txt and schema markup
- Use data-driven insightsto make improvements
- Customise reports to highlight KPIs
- Optimise your database
User-First
Beauty
Efficiency
Accountability
Integrity
Why user-first?
If the users are happy, the client will be too.
No two projects are the same and I take a pragmatic approach to each job. Most important thing is delivering work that is as accessible and optimised as possible.
Years of experience building products and different systems. I can help you identify the most appropriate technology for your project and, if I cannot complete your project, I will at for sure point you in the right direction.
What is life without humor and beauty?
Beauty can pique people's curiosity and smile can warm people's hearts.
There is no reason why something shouldn't be functional AND elegant, beautiful.
Eye for beauty and a light heart are gifts we mostly lose with growing up but they are a treasure which can be found again.
Always streamline - use your resources wisely
Aim to make an elegant-looking, powerful, yet easy-to-use website or application. It can be done by automation, simplification of tasks, or elimination of unnecessary steps (most important for users).
Taking responsibility for all my actions or inaction.
I take ownership of all my tasks and activities.
It's about taking initiative and recognizing not only that we have the power to cause problems, but also to fix them if we are ready to face them with honesty and courage.
Why is integrity important?
For me, nobody can build anything lasting and of substance without high level of integrity.
What does that translate into?
That means doing what you say, when you said it, transparently and not abandoning your core values of a decent, reasonable human being while doing it.
I am passionate about creating beautiful
experiences that
empower people.
You might have noticed my love for nature and animals.
Don't be fooled — I love people too :)
How could I apply my eye for beauty in an interesting way?
My journey
Used to write poems & short stories, then started designing & crafting board games.
Creativity can be expressed in countless ways.
It should also be nourished and preserved, children are super creative but most of us lose it growing up.
Creative
Now I do woodworking when I need a break from screens — building tables, doors etc is so fun!
So a creative with an eye for beauty...
Builder
As I said earlier, I love people too :)
As a result, I spent 9 years in total giving training to other people in different subjects.
Also gave lectures on entrepreneurship, creativity, failing forward, local development strategy creation...
I founded 2 companies and was the first employee of 2 more.
Now I use that experience to help people find their path and increase their chances in starting up.
Coach
I am also a geek — a sucker for all things fantasy, science, hi-tech and culture.
So a creative builder geek with an eye for beauty and love for people ...what could I have done with that?
Web / Apps / Product Designer / Consultant
Product design and development allows me to express my creativity, whilst helping people
realise their dreams !
I design board games too :). So many things to do and so little time!
Always loved games so, it is natural I went into game design as well. It really allowed me to channel my creativity in fun ways.
This page is a work in progress but, if you want to know more about my game design adventures you are free to visit my instagram page :).
